For eight years before coming to Brentwood and Warley Fr Martin had been parish priest at Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe, and Chaplin to the University of Essex at Wivenhoe Park near Colchester.

Deacon Paul Conrad remains in post and has recently been joined by Deacon Quentin Hall
