Large numbers of well-wishers crammed the Cathedral Parish Hall to bid farewell and Godspeed to Father Dan.
Father Bill thanked Father Dan for the truly excellent work he had done over the previous four years both at the Cathedral and at Warley.
Father Bill then presented Father Dan with a farewell present from both parishes.
A further presentation was made by the children of the two parishes.
In a very amusing speech Father Dan then thanked everybody for all the kindness and warmth he had received during his very happy time at Brentwood and Warley.
