Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Seen above are the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion from the Cathedral Parish, Brentwood and Holy Cross & All Saints, Warley.
On Saturday 21st March they spent the day being renewed for their important ministry at our beautiful Diocesan House of Prayer at Abbotswick.
Our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion help our priests and deacon at Mass by giving Holy Communion.
A number of them, every week, bring communion to the sick and housebound so that those who are unable to go to Mass are still able to receive the Lord in Communion.
Abbotswick is the Diocesan House of Prayer which, happily for our Parish, lies close by at Navestock Side. It is the home of and is run by the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham.
All are welcome to enjoy the stillness and beauty of both the House and the Chapel, as well as the extensive grounds. Further information can be obtained from Clergy House or by following the link to Abbotswick.
